AquaBund

The AquaBund is an incredibly versatile and robust off-site build, storage and modular dosing package plant for integration into a new or existing treatment building. The system can safely store and dose a variety of chemicals. Based on a few key design parameters a modular dosing package can be specified to provide essential upfront design information. All Aquazone products are designed and built to the highest standards and supplied with a certificate of conformity to the Machinery Directive, WIMES & BS EN 14122, along with a digital copy of the operations & maintenance manual detailing system information, drawings, OEM data sheets and test documents (Full Factory Test in accordance with WIMES 8.02).

The AquaBund can be supplied as either a standalone package with local control or mechanically and controlled by others. The entire bulk storage and dosing is contained within an open GRP bund, which is provided with a GRP access platform and grating to allow tank access. The package system is designed to provide a 25-year service life. The system is designed to be “plug and play” and can be commissioned swiftly, offering effective process treatment rapidly after delivery to site.

Standard Features

• The AquaBund is provided by industry leading GRP enclosure manufacturers, the standard construction is designed and tested to BS476 Part 22 and exceeds the half-hour fire rating, retention of stability, integrity and insulation. Fire retardant resins are used to provide self-extinguishing laminates to BS476 Part 7 Class 2.
• Standard bunds are provided with an integral floor consisting of a plywood base and timber joists, all of which are fully encapsulated in GRP.
• The integral 110% bulk storage capacity bund is flow coated with a chemical resistant resin, providing a minimum of 7 days containment.
• The external finish is a textured purple heather flow coat, other BS4800 colours available upon request.

Fill Point

• The modular AquaFill can be incorporated with the AquaBund.
• Enclosed fill point with secondary screening.
• Stainless steel 316 flange connection 2” Table D.
• Fill point panel with tank level monitoring and point level alarms.

Bulk Tanks

• The bulk tanks can be provided as either spiral wound HDPE or Plastic Lined Laminated GRP, dependent on the chemical characteristics.
• Spiral wound bulk storage tanks are designed and constructed to BS EN 12573 category 2 and manufactured from UV Stable HDPE.
• Plastic Lined Laminated GRP bulk storage tanks are designed and constructed to BS EN 13121.
• Bulk tank working volume and disengagement specified in accordance with WIMES 8.02 Chemical Dosing Equipment (General Requirements).
• Bulk tanks provided with ultrasonic level monitoring and point level high high and low low level electrodes.
• The tank outlet and drain valves are provided with extension spindles to allow operation from outside the bund flood level.
• 100NB tank overflow, fitted with water trap.
• 150NB tank vent to atmosphere.
• 50NB supply and drain outlets.

Dosing Cabinet

• The standard Aquazone segregated dosing cabinets – AquaCab series – can be incorporated into the AquaBund design solution.
• The AquaCab can be supplied with either Grundfos or ProMinent digital dosing pumps.
